Touch things throughout the day. Check your motion and the motions of colleagues and passersby to carefully, lovingly, feel the heft and the texture of items unfamiliar to you. Run your palm for a few minutes over the bark of a pine or an oak. Stop a stranger and pinch the fabric of her shirt between thumb and fingers. Linger among the indentations that sofas, carpets, and clothing leave on your skin. Press gently down on the surface of unidentified food. Set a bug on your forearm to feel its skittering legs. Scrunch things up that will be scrunched. Dip your hands into a bowl of water.
